She had a bottle of my beard oil for her hubs to test, she told me the oil was amazing for her hands and hair. That was the birth of Ms. Laundy’s oil. I started with our skin oil formula, removed the scented essential oils, added soothing lavender and rosemary and a few other skin tricks from Ms. Laundy’s book and Wow!!!! For those of you who don’t know me, you’ve likely never heard of Ms. Laundy, she was a lady that lived near my Granny long before I was thought of. Ms. Laundy was known for her ability to make your rash or your husband go away, whichever you needed. She would buy warts from you, make little magic bottles to help you sleep and pour peppermint tea for a “mean stomach”. I remember going with my Granny through her weed filled yard and up a stone path to her itty bitty house when I was just little. They were friends and I remember only small flashes or maybe just stories about her. My Granny ended up with one of her book of secrets, which she in turn gave to me. This book is the source for my Four Thieves, Fire cider and Florida water recipes among many others. I borrowed the calendula, lavender, peppermint and some secret oils from her recipe for glowing skin. You may be pleased to know I left the chicken fat element right there in her book and substituted my super fats for this formula. Anyway, giving credit where credit is due, I shall call this Ms. Laundy’s Cure all oil.
