ABOUT OUR PROCESS
Our ingredients are Responsibly sourced, American grown, Vegan, Carbon Neutral, cruelty Free and Handmade in Indiana.
We use a special SOY WAX made from 100% Midwest Soy Beans, grown mainly in Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky. Most of these beans were in the field less than a year before you lit the candle made from them. Our soy wax is a renewable and sustainable crop that doesnât require deforestation or oil supplies, it is only limited by how much our farmers want to grow!
Our wicks are patented Crackling Wicks from the Wooden Wick Company. American Grown, hand cut wooden wickS are made with another business model we support:
The Wooden Wick Co partnered with TREES FOR THE FUTURE. For Every $100 of Wooden Wicks sold, one tree is planted. This Year to Date, The Wooden Wick Co. & Community has planted 10,000 Trees!
Â
TREES PLANTED WITH TREES FOR THE FUTURE:
â Create educational opportunities for children
â Empower Women
â Build strong communities
â Permanently increase the income of farmers

â Provide permanent and seasonal work
Our tints are manufactured using vegetable oils or ingredients extracted from vegetable oils. These new formulations are now Prop 65 and REACH Compliant.
Our jars are made just next door in Lancaster, Ohio by Anchor Hocking since 1905. They are recyclable and reusable!!
We source biodegradable peanuts (dissolve in water) and post consumer made boxes for our shipping needs.
We have a way to go, but we are striving to meet our own person goals for a completely locally sourced, handmade, eco friendly craft.
Our candles are an affordable luxury you can FEEL GOOD about adding to your home. We use simple clean ingredients, minimal labeling and packaging and focus on the product in the jar.

----CANDLE BURNING INSTRUCTIONS----
The basics of lighting and enjoying your wooden wick candle are simple, but there are a few things to keep in mind:
âIt is IMPORTANT to trim a wooden wick to 1/8â â 3/16â, and no longer. If the wick is too long, the wax will not pull up the wick, and the flame will dim or even extinguish.
âï¸NEVER remove wax from around the wick, it starves the wick and creates a tunnel.
If your wooden wick is extinguishing shortly after lighting it, trimming is the problem.
Simply give it a trim with wick trimmers, nail clippers or simply snap the char off with your fingers or tap if off with your lighter and remove the wick bits, light it at the wax level and you'll be crackling away!!

ALLERGIES AND SENSITIVITIES
Are scented candles and skincare products triggers for asthma or allergies?
Although millions of Americans regularly use scented products without any negative effects, it is always possible that a particular fragrance might trigger a negative reaction in a very small percentage of sensitive individuals. Individuals with known sensitivities to specific fragrances may want to avoid products of those scents. In addition, consumers should remember to burn all candles, whether scented or unscented, in a well-ventilated area and test skincare products in a small area before use.
**Cleaning out your candle jar to reuse it
Hot water can be used to easily and safely remove wax. Place the candle on a stable surface protected with a towel or newspaper.
Use a spoon to remove as much wax as you can. Pour very hot water into the container ( I use a regular fill from my coffee pod machine), leaving room at the top. The hot water will melt the wax and it will float to the top.
Let the water cool overnight and simply pop out the wax âcookieâ that formed on top of the water.
Strain the water to get rid of any small wax bits (Donât pour wax down the drain) !
I pour mine into a used coffee filter after Iâve brewed a pot and toss the filter, coffee and wax (remove wick tab) into my compost.
Wipe any remaining wax and clean with hot soap and water or pop it in the dishwasher.**
