Let the water cool overnight and simply pop out the wax "cookie" that formed on top of the water. Strain the water to get rid of any small wax bits (Don't pour wax down the drain) ! I pour mine into a used coffee filter after I've brewed a pot and toss the filter, coffee and wax (remove wick tab) into my compost.
